My name is Taé Nosaka, and I am from the mountains west of Trinidad, Colorado, where I grew up amidst 160 acres of beautiful ponderosa pine forest. I graduated with 13 total students in my high school class and was the first in my family to pursue a college education and graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Natural Resources Management. After graduating from Colorado State University in 1999, I spent two years in Minnesota teaching environmental education to middle-school students. While I loved teaching, I could not pass up the opportunity to return to my alma mater to coordinate the Key Academic Community, which I did until 2006. In addition to my role at the Center for Advising & Student Achievement with our Living Learning Communities, I just completed my Master's Degree in Student Affairs in Higher Education. I love reading, learning new things, education, camping, hiking, biking, and playing with my dogs, Saki & Tika.  My advice to Key students is to know that the only true obstacle to success is yourself, so believe that you can accomplish anything!

I am a Colorado native, growing up on the Western Slope. A country girl, I love fly fishing, riding horses, camping, traveling, volunteering, four-wheeling, and playing in the rain J . In 2005, I graduated from Colorado State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Human Development and Family Studies. After graduation, I spent two years working with Poudre School District, overseeing all before- and after-school and service-learning programs, as well as serv ing as the liaison and single point of entry for over 2000 CSU and students serving in the district each semester . After the amazing experience working with Key Service Students in the school district, I could not pass up the opportunity to coordinate the Key Service Community, a community built on student leadership and civic engagement . With a passion for service, o ne of my favorite quotes, which serves as an inspiration and guiding force in my life, is by Cesar Chavez. He said, “You should know that the education of the heart is very important. This will distinguish you from others. Educating oneself is easy, but educating ourselves to help other human beings to help the community is much more difficult.” My advice to Key students…Do not forget the infinite possibilities that are born when you set goals and have the passion to pursue them!

I am originally from Scottsbluff, NE, but consider Colorado my home. I graduated from the University of Northern Colorado in May of 2005 with a degree in Psychology. While attending the University of Northern Colorado, I was very involved with a variety of activities and programs on campus. I am currently pursuing my Master's Degree in Student Affairs in Higher Education here at CSU. I have a wonderful family who have supported me through the first year of my Master's program: husband Aaron and son Deionus. I enjoy spending time with my family, golfing, taking pictures, and relaxing
