Service & Volunteer Opportunities

The goal of providing service learning is to help students learn and develop through active participation in organized service experiences that are integrated into academic curriculum, that meet the needs of a community, provide that provide structured time for reflection, and that help foster civic responsibility.
Why should students do Service-Learning?

Serves as an important part of a student's civic education, including development of political action skills, communication skills, critical thinking skills and tolerance
Each cluster within the Key Service Community is required to complete 25-30 hours of service each semester. Previous Key Service students have overwhelmingly reported great satisfaction from their service opportunities.

- United Nations AIDS Awareness Day
- World Unity Fair
- Service trip to Colorado State’s Environmental Learning Center
- Colorado State’s Diversity Conference
- Friday Afternoon Club at the International House
- Service trip to Lory State Park
- Service trip to Kearney Middle School in Commerce City
- United Nations World Food Day
